Renee does a great job of teaching in a very personal and inviting manner, while also being a complete professional. Her information was insightful and very helpful for a man who has no idea what he's getting into. Most times, people who teach these classes focus solely on the mother, but Renee carefully considers the father as well. You find yourself engaged in what she's teaching and interested in what's next. I feel so much more prepared, not only for the birth of our daughter, but also how to care for her as an infant. If you, as a couple, are wanting to take birthing classes, please consider Renee. Her insights and teaching style are definitely on point and she knows her stuff.
As this was our first baby, having the guidance and information Renee provided through her classes, handouts, and meetings, was priceless and so valuable. When it became time where I was 2 weeks away from my due date, Renee made it where if I called, it would ring through her “do not disturb” no matter the time of night. That came in handy as I went 40 weeks and 6 days and the night before I was supposed to go in and be induced, my water broke. After awhile I knew it wasn’t just me having an overly full bladder lol. Renee gave me the options for waiting to go until the morning, going in right then, or waiting for a little while and then going in after getting a few hours of sleep. We chose to go in right then and she met us at the hospital at midnight. She was there through labor, delivery and was so encouraging through the delivery process. It was a long and hard labor and delivery so I was grateful to have her there. She was unbiased in the decisions we had to make about the birthing process. I couldn’t have made it without Renee, my husband and my mom.
