Dear Mama, I know it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel but I promise you it’s there. I have to be honest though every diaper you change, sleepless night that you have, missed meals, potty training, all the laundry will not be remembered or appreciated. With that said the books you read and have read back to you at a snails pace, family movie nights, game nights learning now things like the names of the stars will. Baking cookies and some how dirtying every dish will. They may not remember the hours you put in helping with school projects but they will remember you poking their belly to see if it is full enough after dinner. They will not remember the countless hours you spend in the car chauffeuring them to and from all those places but they will remember how you said “see you later alligator” and how they loved to respond “after while crocodile”. So right now enjoy those little things that are making you so tired. I promise they go by faster than you can imagine. You don’t have to be super Mom just their mom and I promise sweet mama that is enough. Much love, Mama who has been there
