Hope's Embrace
Your Supportive Partner in Birth

Our Story

Hope’s Embrace is dedicated to making birth support accessible to all. Frequently, we’ve encountered stories of longing where individuals express, “I wish I had known” or “if only someone had been there to help.” At Hope’s Embrace, we are that support – a guiding presence throughout the journey.

When you welcome a doula from Hope’s Embrace into your birth journey, you’re gaining a steady, compassionate guide who’s with you every step of the way. Our support includes two prenatal visits to prepare and build connection, continuous presence during your birth, and a postpartum visit to process your experience and offer continued care. From the moment you’re matched, your doula is just a call or text away—offering reassurance, answers, and encouragement whenever you need it on your journey.

Our Mission

Our Vision

Hope’s Embrace envisions creating a birth environment that empowers parents and instills confidence in their decision-making. We believe that a positive birth experience contributes to a positive postpartum experience, and sets families up for success.

Testimonials

“I am forever grateful for Renee and everything she did to support me in achieving my VBAC! She was there for any questions I had, helped me pick a supportive provider who believed in my ability to birth vaginally, connected me to resources, helped me process my emotions, and helped me through the pain of active/transition labor contractions. She was right by my side every step of the way, and it truly made all the difference”
Taylor S.
“Thank you for listening to my needs and considering someone who aligns with that. I truly appreciate your ability to listen, be understanding, and keep the person you are working with in mind as you connect them to a doula in this process ! Thank you for validating my decision to move forward with Hope’s Embrace through this connection. I have enjoyed the experience so far and i absolutely love the doula i was matched with”
Brittany C.
"Taylor, my doula, was full of fire and passion from day one. She was a constant support and continuously reminded me that this was my birth and that my voice and choices mattered. She made sure I felt like I was in control, something I lacked the first time. I will forever be thankful for Hope's Embrace. Not only did I get a healthy baby girl through an empowering birth, I gained confidence in my body's ability to do hard things"

How We Started

“See a need, fill a need” is a mantra our founder learned during her childhood. It serves as the foundation for the journey at Hope’s Embrace. Our venture has been a profound odyssey dedicated to bridging the gap in birth support across socio-economic classes. We were determined to extend our services to lower-income families, and after persistent efforts, we discovered a viable solution. In April 2016, we embarked on our mission and attended our first birth. By November of the same year, we attained our official 501c3 status.

What We Do

Hope’s Embrace is dedicated to eliminating the regret of “I wish I had known” in the realm of childbirth. Our approach is centered on active listening without judgment, providing unwavering support, and offering valuable resources and information. We refrain from imposing our own opinions on birth; instead, we engage in open discussions about options, empowering you to make informed choices throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

Acknowledging the unpredictability of life, we initiate prenatal discussions about contingency plans in case things don’t unfold as anticipated. We firmly believe that a positive birth experience extends beyond the desired outcome; it encompasses the assurance that your voice is heard, your preferences matter, and you are treated with respect.

It’s important to note that we are not medical professionals, and any guidance offered should not be construed as medical advice. We do not perform clinical tasks, and for specific questions, it is advisable to consult with your healthcare provider.
